If you are fortunate to have a very good friend, spouse or family member that you can turn to both when times have been good to you or the opposite, then you know how important those relationships can be. Life can be lonely at times and very isolating. Being able to enjoy a walk with a friend or a meal with a sibling has the power to change your outlook or simply appreciate the blessings you have been given.

The AKC provides us annually with national/major city registration statistics regarding the rankings by dog breed. According to their mission statement, the club is dedicated to the “study, breeding, exhibiting, running and maintenance of purebred dogs.†Their registry maintenance and data collection is an important contribution to the study of the purebred in America.

Many years ago a sage friend of mine challenged me with the following statement – “Well over 90% of all of the facts you know has been provided to you without confirming the information with your own independent researchâ€.
Wow! How true is that! I have never looked at “facts†the same way since.
For a while thereafter, I really did try to check out information that I read or heard but, frankly, it’s impossible. So, it becomes very important to consider seriously the sources of information you rely on. Surely, that is what has brought you to this place. Sometimes though, facts can be of interest just because of their uniqueness or entertainment. Hence, our dog facts below are some of the more interesting ones.
